Shia LaBeouf Arrested in Georgia for Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness

Shia LaBeouf was arrested in Savannah, Georgia, on Saturday, July 8, for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, according to the Chatham County Sheriff's Office.

The Emmy winner, 31, was taken into custody at approximately 4 a.m. by the Savannah Police Department. He was also booked on an obstruction charge.

The Associated Press reported that LaBeouf was released from jail after posting a $7,000 bond. He is in the Savannah area filming his upcoming movie The Peanut Butter Falcon, which also stars Dakota Johnson.

Us Weekly has reached out to the actor's rep for comment.

This isn't LaBeouf's first run-in with the law. He was arrested on similar charges in June 2014 after he disrupted a performance of the Broadway revival of Cabaret in New York City. He was also taken into police custody in January for allegedly attacking a man outside his NYC protest against President Donald Trump.

The American Honey actor candidly opened up about his alcohol-related incidents and sobriety in an interview in September 2016. "Alcohol or any of that s--t will send you haywire," he told Variety. "I can't f--k with none of it. I've got to keep my head low. I got a Napoleonic complex. I start drinking and I feel smaller than I am, and I get louder than I should. It's just not for me, dude."
